Use Sports mode along with Downhill Assist when needed, it provides better control than a manual car. Personally tested on my way back to northern areas with steep hills.

Use one pedal mode if you have EV models (HEV, PHEV). This mode provides aggressive Regenerative braking (Back torque to charge batteries) while cruising or downhill travel.

I went to kalam in snow, used snow mode on snowy road , for uphill used sports mode , for downhill used downhill aasist . Had amazing experience.

Went to Kalam on oshan and kept it on sports mode and used manual shifting on downhills . I don't think that haval has triptronic gear, if it's hybrid then Regenerative braking can be used
