Jetour is a Chery sub-brand focused on rugged, boxy SUVs, which entered Pakistan through United Motors with an official launch on 20 February 2025. United assembles Jetour vehicles locally as CKD kits, and by 2026 Jetour Pakistan had thirteen operating 3S dealerships.
The T2 is the brand's off-road-styled flagship here: 4,785 mm long, 2,006 mm wide, on a 2,800 mm wheelbase with 220 mm of ground clearance - by some distance the most physically imposing thing in its price bracket. The T2 i-DM plug-in hybrid launched on 6 July 2026, with the conventional 2.0 XWD and Dominator Kit variants following in August. The first locally assembled T2 i-DM came off the line on 4 September 2026.
Pricing runs from Rs 1.28 crore for the i-DM to Rs 1.56 crore for the Dominator Kit, which puts it above the mainstream Chinese crossovers and into Kia Sorento and top Tucson territory - and against those it offers far more power and a genuine all-wheel-drive off-road system.
Its position is unusual because there is almost no direct competitor. Nothing else here combines a boxy body, eight terrain modes with intelligent AWD, and a plug-in option at this price. That novelty is its strongest selling point and its biggest risk: it is an expensive car from a brand that has existed in Pakistan for about eighteen months.
Two powertrains. The T2 i-DM is a plug-in hybrid: a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with electric drive through a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission, an 18.4 kWh battery, front-wheel drive, a combined 360 hp and 610 Nm, and about 90 km of electric-only range. The T2 2.0 XWD uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol four at 244 hp and 375 Nm through a seven-speed dual-clutch to an intelligent all-wheel-drive system with eight terrain modes plus an intelligent crawl function. The Dominator Kit is a cosmetic and equipment package on the 2.0 XWD, not a separate powertrain. Note the i-DM is front-drive only: the off-road capability and the plug-in efficiency are in different variants, and you cannot have both.
The T2 is too new in Pakistan for owner-reported economy to exist in any usable quantity. The plug-in launched in July 2026, the petrol variants in August, and local assembly only began in September - so the earliest cars have weeks on them. Any figure circulating is a brochure number, not an observed one. Structurally: the i-DM's real economy will be decided almost entirely by whether the owner charges at home, and the 2.0 XWD, with 244 hp, all-wheel drive and a large frontal area, should be expected to return single-digit to low-teens km/l - but that is an engineering expectation, not a measured Pakistani figure.
