MG HS PHEV 2026 Fuel Average, Price and Specs in Pakistan

From PKR 10,199,000 ex-factory

The MG HS PHEV fuel average in Pakistan is 13 km/l in the city and 16.5 km/l on the highway, for the single version on sale in 2026. Combined, that works out to about 14.5 km/l.

Pakistan has no mandatory fuel-economy test, so no figure here is a certified one. These come from owner reports and, where a car is too new for those, from the same engine measured in comparable conditions abroad - each page says which.

The good & the bad

The good

  • ▲Priced roughly Rs 20 to 30 lacs below the Sportage L and Tucson Hybrid while offering comparable screen size, driver-assistance content and an electrified powertrain
  • ▲The Super Hybrid's 24.7 kWh battery gives the longest claimed electric range in the local market, and local reports of 120 to 132 km suggest the claim is broadly honest
  • ▲Seven airbags on the petrol variant and a full driver-assistance suite including adaptive cruise and autonomous emergency braking is strong safety content at this price
  • ▲Genuinely new product rather than a warmed-over model - larger body, longer wheelbase and a cabin redesigned from scratch
  • ▲Three powertrains across a narrow price band gives a straightforward choice between lowest purchase price, lowest complexity and lowest running cost
  • ▲Both hybrids are locally assembled rather than imported, which matters for tax treatment, parts supply and serviceability

The bad

  • ▼MG raised the Hybrid+ price by Rs 5 lacs the day after a government tax cut that reduced Hyundai's prices. That is the most unfavourable pricing decision in the segment, and it came within five months of launch
  • ▼Pricing has been unstable across the board - an introductory petrol price that steps up Rs 2 lacs, and a hybrid that moved up Rs 5 lacs in months
  • ▼MG's Pakistani track record is the biggest risk. The June 2025 parts airlift and the unannounced March 2026 deletion of the previous-generation HS are both real events, and buyers are betting on continuity MG has not consistently delivered
  • ▼Resale value trails Toyota, Honda and Suzuki markedly, and the history of discontinuing models mid-life makes used buyers more cautious still
  • ▼Parts availability and lead times are a live concern rather than a theoretical one, given the documented 2025 supply interruption
  • ▼An all-new generation means an all-new parts catalogue with no local stock depth yet - early crash repairs are likely to involve long waits
  • ▼The 1.5 Turbo petrol uses a 7-speed dual-clutch, with the usual drawbacks in heavy stop-and-go traffic
  • ▼Published power and torque figures vary between MG's own launch materials and aggregator listings; confirm against the brochure
