Where these figures come from
Every price, consumption figure and range on these pages is the one the manufacturer itself publishes, read from its own specification table, and each car names the page it was taken from. Nothing is copied from a classifieds site or a car portal.
Consumption is given as the maker prints it — in litres per 100 km, under the test cycle they name — with the km/l equivalent beside it so it can be read against the Pakistani pages. Where a maker publishes no figure, this says so and leaves the space empty. None of them gives an energy-consumption figure for a fully electric car, only range and battery capacity. Chery publishes no consumption for nine of its nineteen models; MG gives one for its two petrol cars and, for the electric ones, range and the drive unit’s total output instead; and Geely publishes no specification table at all — its pages give each version a name, a price and a list of features, so those cars carry a price and the electric range Geely writes into the version’s own name, and nothing else. Deepal is Changan’s brand, and the only one here whose own group site publishes nothing a reader can use, so these figures are read from Deepal’s configuration table: a guide price for all 44 of its versions, and a consumption figure for all 19 of its range-extenders. Working the rest out from what they do give and printing it as a specification would be inventing a number, and this site does not do that.
Power is the maker’s own figure: the combined system output where they state one, the drive motor of an electric car, or the engine of a petrol one. An engine’s peak and a motor’s peak are never added together — they do not arrive at the same moment, and the total would describe a car nobody sells. Torque follows power exactly: where a plug-in hybrid’s maker publishes no combined output, both columns are left empty and the engine’s and the motor’s own figures are given separately on the car’s page, each one labelled as what it is. A four-wheel-drive Deepal is written the same way, because Deepal gives a front motor and a rear motor and never a total.
A range-extender is not a plug-in hybrid, and it is listed as its own kind here. Its engine charges the battery and never drives the wheels, which is the thing a reader choosing between the two wants to know. Deepal writes 增程式 and means it, and the consumption figure for one of those is what it drinks once the battery is flat — the figure its maker publishes, and the only one that describes a journey.
