Fuel average

We do not have measured fuel figures for this variant yet. Pakistan has no mandatory fuel-economy test and this car's maker publishes none, so the only honest source is owners — and we have not gathered enough of them for this version. Rather than print an estimate dressed as a measurement, this page shows what is verified: the specifications below.
Toyota's full-size hybrid saloon, and the most expensive Toyota on this site. A25A-FXS 2,487cc four running the Atkinson cycle at 14:1 compression, 137 kW and 221 Nm, paired with a 100 kW motor and a 251.6-volt lithium-ion pack, through an e-CVT. Euro 6, 180 km/h, 1,585-1,645 kg kerb, double-wishbone rear suspension.

Where these figures come from: Toyota Indus publishes no fuel consumption figure for the Camry Hybrid. Its specification sheet gives the engine and motor outputs, the battery voltage and a 50-litre tank, and stops - unusual for a hybrid, where economy is the point. None is shown rather

The good & the bad

The good

  • ▲Toyota's hybrid system is the most proven on sale anywhere, and Indus has the deepest service network in Pakistan to look after it
  • ▲Double-wishbone rear suspension, which few saloons at any price in this market offer
  • ▲Euro 6 emissions
  • ▲2,825 mm wheelbase and 4,920 mm overall - genuine full-size saloon space
  • ▲Six SRS airbags, electric parking brake, regenerative braking
  • ▲A 50-litre tank on a hybrid drivetrain should give a long touring range

The bad

  • ▼TOYOTA INDUS PUBLISHES NO FUEL CONSUMPTION FIGURE. On a hybrid, where economy is the entire reason to buy, that is a conspicuous omission - the spec sheet gives engine output, motor output, battery voltage and tank size and stops
  • ▼PKR 4.38 crore puts it against European executive saloons rather than other Toyotas
  • ▼145 mm of ground clearance is low for Pakistani roads and speed breakers
  • ▼One grade only, so there is no cheaper way into the nameplate
  • ▼Front-wheel drive and an e-CVT make it a comfortable car rather than an engaging one
