| Chery Tiggo 8 Premium PHEV 4WD 3-speed DHT, Plug-in Hybrid Reduced on 17 Sep 2026 from Rs 1.15 crore. | PKR 10,999,000 |
The Tiggo 8 PHEV is assembled in Pakistan by Chery Master Pakistan, the joint venture formed between Chery Global and the Master Group in May 2025, and built at Master's Karachi facility. Local listings that still attribute the Tiggo 8 to Ghandhara Nissan reflect Chery's earlier Pakistani partnership and are out of date.
The car was launched on 14 January 2026, with bookings through the month at an introductory price, and customer deliveries began in April 2026. It is a locally assembled CKD product, which materially distinguishes it from the imported BYD and GAC lineups.
It is a three-row plug-in hybrid SUV and, per the distributor, the only seven-seat plug-in on sale in Pakistan. That is its whole market argument.
It competes against the Kia Sportage L - which it undercuts by roughly Rs 7 lacs - as well as Haval's H6 hybrid and plug-in variants and the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. Chery Master positions it in the middle of a three-model plug-in ladder, with the Tiggo 7 below and the Tiggo 9 above.
A 1,499 cc turbocharged petrol engine, Euro 6 compliant, is paired with Chery's Super Hybrid system through a dedicated hybrid transmission in a four-wheel-drive configuration. Chery quotes a combined system output of 496 hp and 735 Nm, with 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. The battery is an 18.3 kWh LFP pack giving up to 90 km of pure-electric range; combined with the 60-litre tank, Chery claims up to 1,200 km total. Vehicle-to-Load output is 3.3 kW. Six drive modes are offered with 200 mm of ground clearance and a 2,063 kg kerb weight, across seven seats in three rows.
There is no verified Pakistani owner economy data for this car. Deliveries only began in April 2026, and the 10 to 15 km/l figure circulating is a company claim rather than an observed one. With any plug-in hybrid the real figure depends almost entirely on charging discipline: an owner who plugs in nightly and drives under 90 km a day will see very little petrol consumption, while one who never charges is running a 2,063 kg four-wheel-drive SUV on a 1.5-litre engine with a dead battery aboard. Until a body of Pakistani owner reports accumulates - and five months of deliveries is not enough - no honest real-world figure can be given.
