| Chery Tiggo 7 Premium PHEV FWD (SHS) 1499 cc, 3-speed DHT, Plug-in Hybrid Reduced on 17 Sep 2026 from Rs 99.99 lacs after the hybrid tax revision. | PKR 9,499,000 |
The Tiggo 7 PHEV is assembled in Pakistan by Chery Master Pakistan, the Chery Global and Master Group joint venture formed in May 2025, at Master's Karachi plant. It launched on 25 June 2026 and rolled off a production line the company had just expanded to double-shift operation.
It is the third locally assembled plug-in hybrid from Chery Master, joining the Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 9 to give the brand coverage across three SUV segments. This is the compact five-seater at the bottom of that ladder: 4,553 mm long, front-wheel drive, using the same turbo-plus-hybrid architecture as its larger siblings in a lower state of tune.
It lands in the most contested part of the Pakistani market. Directly opposite sits the Toyota Corolla Cross HEV, which after the September 2026 tax cut is Rs 2 lacs cheaper, locally assembled by a company with decades of Pakistani service history, and a conventional hybrid that needs no plug.
The BYD Atto 3 and GAC Aion V undercut it too, though both are imported EVs. The Jolion HEV, the Sportage and the MG HS are the other reference points.
A 1,499 cc turbocharged petrol engine works with Chery's Super Hybrid system through a dedicated hybrid transmission, driving the front wheels. Chery quotes a combined 255 kW (342 hp) and 525 Nm, with 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds. The traction battery is an 18.3 kWh pack rated at more than 90 km of pure-electric range, and with the 60-litre tank the company claims over 1,200 km combined. DC fast charging covers 30 to 80 percent in approximately 19 minutes. Kerb weight is 1,785 kg and boot space 565 litres, expanding to 1,386.
This car is too new for owner data. It went on sale on 25 June 2026 and no body of Pakistani owner-reported consumption exists. The 1,200 km combined and 90 km electric figures are manufacturer claims and should not be presented as observed results. As with every plug-in hybrid, the number an owner actually sees is governed by charging behaviour: daily charging can push petrol consumption close to zero for city use, while an owner who treats it as a conventional automatic will be running a 1,785 kg SUV on a small turbo engine carrying a dead 18.3 kWh pack, and should expect economy no better than a comparable petrol crossover.
