Privacy policy
Last updated 8 November 2026. This page describes what the site does today; it is rewritten when that changes, not on a schedule.
What we collect from a reader
Nothing you have to give us. We do not have accounts, and we do not ask for an email address to show you a page. Our server keeps ordinary web-server logs — the address a request came from, the page asked for, the time, and the browser's own description of itself — which is what any web server keeps and what we use to find faults and abuse.
Cookies this site sets

We do not sell anything to anyone, and we do not pass what we hold to anyone beyond the services named above.
If you place a used-car advertisement
The form asks for your name, your phone number, the city the car is in, and the car's own details. Your name, city and — if you tick the box — your phone number are published on the advertisement, where buyers can see them. That is the point of the form: an advertisement nobody can answer is no use to you. Do not type anything into the description that you would not want a stranger to read.
We keep the advertisement while it is live and after it is sold or withdrawn, so that the page does not break for anyone who saved the link. If you want an advertisement and its details removed outright, ask us with the reference number and we will remove it.
Advertisements copied from elsewhere
Some advertisements in the used-car section were copied from another site, and each one says so on its own page, with the source named. The words and photographs there are the seller's. If you are that seller and want yours taken down, tell us the reference and it goes.
Children
This is a site about cars and their running costs. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser — the site works without them, except that it will check your region again on each visit.
- Turn off personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.
- Ask us to remove an advertisement you placed, with its reference.
