✕ What we don't like

NO PUBLISHED PRICE. A buyer cannot find out what it costs without going to a dealer, which makes it impossible to compare against anything
Two seats and a soft top make it a second car, not a household's only one
A 1,329 mm roofline and a sports car's ground clearance are a poor match for Pakistani road surfaces and speed breakers
Rapid charging at 144 kW needs DC infrastructure that barely exists outside the largest cities
Panel and body repairs on a low-volume convertible will not be quick or cheap

MG Cyberster 2026 overview

The MG Cyberster is a two-seat electric roadster with scissor doors and an automatic soft top - the only car of its kind on sale in Pakistan, and nothing else MG sells here resembles it.

MG revived the name from its own sports-car history; the brand has been building roadsters since 1924 and this is its electric one. Two versions are listed: a dual-motor four-wheel-drive GT at 375 kW and 725 Nm, good for 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, and a single-motor rear-drive GT at 230 kW and 475 Nm.

Both use the same 77 kWh battery, 74.4 kWh of it usable. The rear-drive car travels further on it - 507 km against 443 on the WLTP cycle - which is the usual trade for the second motor.

Engine and performance

Two electric drivetrains on one 77 kWh lithium-ion battery, 74.4 kWh usable. The GT Dual Motor 4WD uses permanent-magnet synchronous motors front and rear for 375 kW and 725 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, 443 km WLTP. The GT Single Motor RWD uses one rear motor for 230 kW and 475 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 5 seconds, 507 km WLTP. Charging is identical on both: 144 kW DC peak, 10-80 per cent in 38 minutes, or 10.5 hours from a 7 kW AC wallbox. Suspension is independent double wishbone at the front and independent multi-link at the rear, with ventilated discs all round.
