Hyundai Santa Fe Signature 1.6T HEV AWD 2026 Fuel Average and Consumption

The Hyundai Santa Fe Signature 1.6T HEV AWD fuel average in Pakistan is 11.9 km/l in the city and 14.7 km/l on the highway. Combined, that is about 13 km/l.

These are projected figures, not a Kia claim and not a Pakistani measurement — see where they come from below.

Fuel average by route and conditions

Cost per km is worked out at today's petrol price of Rs 392.76 per litre, as published by OGRA on 3 October 2026. Pakistan revises fuel prices daily, so this updates on its own.

Route Average Cost / km
City 11.9 kmpl Rs 33.0
Long 14.7 kmpl Rs 26.7
City with AC 11.7 kmpl Rs 33.7
Long with AC 14.3 kmpl Rs 27.5
City with heavy foot 10.7 kmpl Rs 36.7
Long with heavy foot 11.5 kmpl Rs 34.2
Long on 100 km/h 15.4 kmpl Rs 25.4
Long on 120 km/h 13.5 kmpl Rs 29.1
Long above 120 km/h 12.4 kmpl Rs 31.6

Where these figures come from: Pakistan has no mandatory fuel-economy test and Hyundai publishes no local consumption figure, so this is projected from owner-reported figures already held on this site for the same or a closely related engine, rather than presented as a certified number

The city and highway averages above are reported figures; the AC and speed breakdown is estimated from them, not separately measured. Real-world mileage varies with traffic, load, tyre pressure and fuel quality.

The Hyundai Santa Fe mileage is 9.8 to 15.4 kmpl in Pakistan, depending on driving style, AC use, and speed. Combined average is 13.0 kmpl.

Our takeCarMania research desk

A seven-seat hybrid at PKR 132.58 lacs is a genuinely useful thing and the Santa Fe is well made, but Hyundai has split it the wrong way round compared to its own Tucson. On the Tucson, both variants get the complete driver-assistance package. On the Santa Fe, the front-drive Smart has no blind-spot monitor, no blind-spot collision warning, no rear cross-traffic collision warning and no surround-view camera - all of which are Signature-only. That is a PKR 14.62 lac step and much of what it buys is safety equipment the cheaper Tucson already includes. If the Santa Fe is the car you want, the Signature is the one to buy; if the budget stops at the Smart, a Tucson Signature costs less and is better assisted, at the cost of two seats.

The good & the bad

The good

  • ▲A seven-seat hybrid at PKR 132.58 lacs, which undercuts every seven-seat hybrid rival in the market
  • ▲Six SRS airbags on both variants, with the number actually printed on Hyundai's price list
  • ▲The Signature's HTRAC all-wheel drive with Snow, Mud and Sand terrain modes and active on-demand four-wheel drive
  • ▲Nine Harman Kardon speakers, a head-up display, ventilated seats and third-row air conditioning on the Signature
  • ▲A 12.3-inch cluster, paddle shifters, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof and wireless CarPlay on both
  • ▲A six-speed torque-converter automatic rather than a dual-clutch
  • ▲Both prices sit below Hyundai's own published list figures

The bad

  • ▼The front-drive Smart has no blind-spot monitor, no blind-spot collision warning, no rear cross-traffic collision warning and no surround-view camera - the cheaper Hyundai Tucson has all of them
  • ▼The PKR 14.62 lac step to the Signature is largely a step to buy safety equipment that should arguably be standard
  • ▼No ventilated seats and no third-row air conditioning on the Smart, which matters in a seven-seater in a Pakistani summer
  • ▼The discounted prices have no published end date and could revert to PKR 1,45,74,000 and PKR 1,61,23,000
  • ▼Hyundai publishes no dimensions, kerb weight or boot capacity for the Santa Fe in Pakistan
  • ▼No independent crash rating exists for the car sold here
  • ▼Hyundai publishes no local fuel-economy figure

Key points

  • Two variants: Smart FWD at PKR 1,32,58,000 and Signature AWD at PKR 1,47,20,000.
  • Both prices are Hyundai's discounted figures - the list prices are PKR 1,45,74,000 and PKR 1,61,23,000.
  • Seven seats on both, from a 1.6 T-GDi hybrid through a six-speed automatic.
  • Six SRS airbags on both, and Hyundai prints the number.
  • The Smart has NO blind-spot monitor, collision warning, rear cross-traffic warning or surround-view camera.
  • Those, plus HTRAC all-wheel drive and terrain modes, are what the Signature adds.
  • The Signature also brings a head-up display, 9 Harman Kardon speakers, ventilated seats and third-row air conditioning.
  • 19-inch alloys, a panoramic sunroof and a heated steering wheel on both.

Safety

What is known about this car's safety in Pakistan
Six SRS airbags on both variants - driver, passenger, front seat side and side curtain - and Hyundai prints the number on its price list rather than leaving it to be inferred, which it does not do for the Tucson or the Sonata N Line.

Both also have an electronic parking brake with auto hold, hill-start assist, downhill brake control, electronic stability control, traction control, a rear view camera and front and rear parking sensors. The Signature adds auto child lock.

Driver assistance is where the two diverge sharply, and a buyer should understand it before choosing.

The Signature has a blind-spot monitor, blind-spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision warning and a surround-view camera.

The Smart has none of those. Hyundai's price list for the Smart lists a rear view camera and parking sensors and nothing further.

This is worth comparing with Hyundai's own Tucson, which is a cheaper car and carries the full driver-assistance package on both of its variants. The seven-seat Santa Fe Smart, at PKR 1,32,58,000, is less assisted than a Tucson Smart at PKR 1,22,02,000.

Pakistan has no NCAP programme, so the car sold here carries no independent crash rating.

FAQ

What is the price of the Hyundai Santa Fe in Pakistan?

The Smart 1.6T Hybrid FWD is PKR 1,32,58,000 and the Signature 1.6T Hybrid AWD is PKR 1,47,20,000. Both are Hyundai's discounted ex-factory prices; the list figures are PKR 1,45,74,000 and PKR 1,61,23,000, with no end date published.

How many seats does the Hyundai Santa Fe have?

Seven, on both variants.

What is the difference between the Santa Fe Smart and Signature?

The Signature adds HTRAC all-wheel drive with Snow, Mud and Sand terrain modes, a head-up display, nine Harman Kardon speakers, ventilated seats, third-row air conditioning, a 10-way powered driver's seat and projection headlamps - and, importantly, a blind-spot monitor, blind-spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision warning and a surround-view camera, none of which the Smart has.

How many airbags does the Hyundai Santa Fe have?

Six SRS airbags on both variants - driver, passenger, front seat side and side curtain. Hyundai prints the number on its price list.

What is the fuel average of the Hyundai Santa Fe?

Projected at about 12.5 km/l city and 15.5 highway for the front-drive Smart, and 11.9 and 14.7 for the all-wheel-drive Signature. These are projections from the same 1.6 T-GDi hybrid in the Tucson and Kia Sportage L, adjusted for a larger seven-seat body - not Hyundai figures and not measurements.

Should I buy the Santa Fe Smart or a Hyundai Tucson?

If you need seven seats, the Santa Fe. If five will do, the Tucson Signature costs PKR 13.92 lacs less than the Santa Fe Signature and carries the full driver-assistance package, which the Santa Fe Smart does not have at all.

Hyundai Santa Fe or Kia Sorento?

Both are seven-seat 1.6 T-GDi hybrids at similar money. The Sorento range is broader - a 3.5 V6, two hybrids and a plug-in hybrid - and its all-wheel-drive variants are very well equipped. The Santa Fe Smart and the Sorento FWD hybrid share the same weakness: both are stripped of driver assistance that their all-wheel-drive siblings carry.

Does the Hyundai Santa Fe need charging?

No. It is a self-charging hybrid with no plug.

What is the warranty on a Hyundai Santa Fe?

4 years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first.
