▲Nothing else at the price offers this combination - intelligent all-wheel drive, eight terrain modes including an intelligent crawl mode, and 220 mm of ground clearance
▲Very high power in both forms: 360 hp and 610 Nm from the plug-in hybrid, 244 hp and 375 Nm from the 2.0 turbo
▲Now locally assembled, which shortens delivery times and gives the parts pipeline a domestic staging point
▲Genuinely large at 4,785 mm on a 2,800 mm wheelbase, with real rear-seat space - a bigger car than an H6 or a Sportage
▲High equipment level including a 15.6-inch infotainment system and Level 2 driver assistance with adaptive cruise and autonomous emergency braking
▲United Motors has built out to thirteen dealerships in about eighteen months, faster network growth than most new entrants manage
The bad
▼The 2.0 XWD uses a seven-speed dual-clutch in a two-tonne all-wheel-drive SUV. That is the worst-case application for a DCT in Karachi or Lahore traffic, and there is no long-term Pakistani data on how it holds up
▼At Rs 1.28 to 1.56 crore this is a lot of money in a brand that launched here in February 2025. Resale is completely unproven and the first owners will discover it the hard way
▼The i-DM is taxed at 25 percent and got no relief from the September hybrid cut, so it carries a permanent price handicap against locally assembled full hybrids
▼Thirteen dealerships sounds substantial until you look at the map - heavily Punjab, one Karachi site, nothing in Peshawar, Quetta or interior Sindh
▼Parts are import-dependent with no local aftermarket at all, and body panels after an accident will be an order-and-wait proposition
▼Fuel consumption on the 2.0 XWD will be heavy - a 244 hp turbo petrol pushing a tall, 2,006 mm-wide AWD SUV with no hybrid assistance
▼The width and length are genuinely awkward in old-city streets and in parking designed around a Corolla
