The GAC Aion V is brought to Pakistan by Lucky Motor Corporation, the Yunus Brothers Group company that also assembles Kia and Peugeot vehicles at its Bin Qasim plant. Lucky Motor signed its partnership with Guangzhou Automobile Group in early 2026 and launched the GAC new-energy lineup on 20 May 2026.
This is the second-generation Aion V, GAC's 2024 redesign that replaced the earlier rounded crossover with a boxy, upright body. Pakistan gets a single Premium trim with the 64.5 kWh LFP pack and a single front motor. Local listings describe the car as imported and distributed by Lucky Motor rather than locally assembled; no localisation plan has been announced, and the three-month delivery lead time is consistent with import.
The Aion V lands directly on top of the BYD Atto 3 and is the clearer proposition on paper - longer, taller, a bigger battery and more range for slightly less money, though with meaningfully less power.
Its broader competition is the electrified end of the market: the Corolla Cross HEV and the Chery Tiggo 7 PHEV, both locally assembled and neither requiring a charger. What Lucky Motor brings that BYD and Chery cannot is an established nationwide Kia dealer and service footprint to lean on.
A single front-mounted motor rated at 100 kW (134 hp) and 240 Nm drives the front wheels through a single-speed transmission, with a top speed of 180 km/h. The battery is a 64.5 kWh LFP pack, rated at 520 km on the optimistic domestic cycle and 435 km on the stricter export cycle. AC charging uses a 6.6 kW onboard charger for a full charge in roughly 8.5 hours, while DC fast charging at up to 150 kW covers 10 to 80 percent in about 24 minutes. Dimensions are 4,605 x 1,876 x 1,686 mm on a 2,775 mm wheelbase with 165 mm of ground clearance, five seats, and 427 litres of boot space expanding to 978.
This car is too new for Pakistani owner data. It launched on 20 May 2026 and no owner reviews have been published, with only a handful of used cars listed nationwide. Aggregator pages nonetheless state real-world owner reports of 380 to 400 km in city driving and estimates around 372 km - neither figure traces to any actual review, and both should be treated as site-generated rather than observed. The defensible statement is that the manufacturer's stricter-cycle figure is 435 km, that this is the more realistic of the two published numbers, and that Pakistani summer air-conditioning loads and highway speeds will pull the real figure below it by an amount nobody here has yet measured and published.
