The Haval H6 is assembled in Pakistan by Sazgar Engineering Works Limited at its plant in Lahore, under a joint venture with Great Wall Motor of China. Sazgar - historically a rickshaw and auto-parts manufacturer - completed its Haval facility in July 2022 and launched the H6 HEV on 17 November 2022, which made it Pakistan's first locally assembled hybrid electric vehicle.
The car sold here is the third-generation H6, launched globally in 2020, and Pakistan now receives the facelifted version - a 14.6-inch touchscreen, revised LED lighting, 19-inch wheels, a 540-degree parking camera with transparent-chassis view and 50W wireless charging. In August 2025 the H6 PHEV facelift was globally unveiled in Lahore, making Pakistan the global launch market for that variant.
It sits in the compact-SUV space above the Haval Jolion and competes with the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, Proton X70, Chery Tiggo 8, Jaecoo J7 and MG HS. It has no direct Toyota or Honda rival at its price in Pakistan.
The 2026 lineup is the broadest of any nameplate in the segment: 1.5T, 2.0T AWD, HEV, PHEV in front- and all-wheel drive, and the H6 GT PHEV coupe-SUV announced in September 2026.
Three powertrains. The 1.5T is a 1,499 cc turbocharged four producing 182 hp and 275 Nm through a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. The 2.0T is a 1,998 cc turbo four with 235 hp and 385 Nm through a 9-speed dual-clutch and an intelligent AWD system. The HEV combines a 1,499 cc four with an electric motor for a combined 240 hp and 530 Nm through GWM's single-speed dedicated hybrid transmission with Standard, Economy, Sport and Snow modes. The PHEV uses the same 1.5 turbo with a larger battery and motor set for a combined 360 hp, all-wheel drive and around 100 km of electric range.
Economy splits sharply by powertrain. The 1.5T returns roughly 10 km/l in the city and 12 on the highway, and the 2.0T about 9 and 12 - figures consistent with a heavy turbo-petrol SUV in congested traffic with the air conditioning running. The HEV reverses the usual pattern at around 18 km/l in the city and 15 on the highway, because the hybrid system is most effective in stop-start conditions. The PHEV's quoted city figure is a charge-depleting composite and is not a meaningful comparison with the petrol cars; owners who cannot charge at home should budget closer to HEV consumption.
