Changan Oshan X7 1.5T FutureSense 7-Seat 2025 Model Fuel Average and Consumption

The Changan Oshan X7 1.5T FutureSense 7-Seat fuel average in Pakistan is 9.5 km/l in the city and 12.5 km/l on the highway. Combined, that is about 10.7 km/l. On its 55-litre tank that is roughly 523 km of city driving between fills.

These are projected figures, not a Kia claim and not a Pakistani measurement — see where they come from below.

Fuel average by route and conditions

Cost per km is worked out at today's petrol price of Rs 392.76 per litre, as published by OGRA on 3 October 2026. Pakistan revises fuel prices daily, so this updates on its own.

Route Average Cost / km
City 9.5 kmpl Rs 41.3
Long 12.5 kmpl Rs 31.4
City with AC 9.3 kmpl Rs 42.2
Long with AC 12.1 kmpl Rs 32.4
City with heavy foot 8.6 kmpl Rs 45.9
Long with heavy foot 9.8 kmpl Rs 40.2
Long on 100 km/h 13.1 kmpl Rs 29.9
Long on 120 km/h 11.5 kmpl Rs 34.2
Long above 120 km/h 10.6 kmpl Rs 37.1

Where these figures come from: Pakistan has no mandatory fuel-economy test and Changan publishes no local consumption figure. The Oshan X7 Comfort already on this site is recorded at 9.5 km/l in the city and 12.5 on the highway, and every variant uses the identical 1,499 cc NE15TG turb

The city and highway averages above are reported figures; the AC and speed breakdown is estimated from them, not separately measured. Real-world mileage varies with traffic, load, tyre pressure and fuel quality.

Based on 9.5 km/l city driving. Pakistan has no mandatory fuel-economy testing, so treat this as a guide, not a certified figure.

The Changan Oshan X7 mileage is 7.8 to 13.1 kmpl in Pakistan, depending on driving style, AC use, and speed. Combined average is 10.7 kmpl.

The step that matters is the first one. PKR 1.5 lacs separates the Comfort from the FutureSense 5-Seat, and on Changan's own comparison table that money buys forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking and dynamic radar cruise control in place of ordinary cruise - the Comfort is marked "Not Equipped" for all three. Autonomous braking for one and a half lacs is the best safety value anywhere near this price in Pakistan, and anyone buying the Comfort to save it is making the wrong trade. If you need seven seats with the assistance package, the FutureSense 7-Seat at PKR 84.49 lacs is the one. The Black Edition is PKR 1.01 lacs more for a blacked-out grille, black wheels, a black cabin and Sony speakers - appearance, not hardware. Across the range, four airbags, a 360-degree camera, stability control and a panoramic sunroof as standard is a strong list; the 19-inch wheels are the largest in the class and the ride pays for them.

The good & the bad

The good

  • ▲The FutureSense variants bring autonomous emergency braking and forward collision warning at PKR 80.99 lacs, which is among the cheapest AEB in Pakistan
  • ▲Four airbags, ABS with brake assist and EBD, traction and stability control, hill hold and descent control, TPMS and ISOFIX anchors on every variant
  • ▲A 360-degree HD camera, front and rear parking sensors and a data recorder across the range
  • ▲1,407 litres of maximum load space and a 2,786 mm wheelbase make the seven-seat layout genuinely usable
  • ▲225/55 R19 alloys are the largest wheels in this class in Pakistan
  • ▲An electric panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, heated and foldable mirrors with blind-spot cameras, and a PM 0.1 air purifier as standard
  • ▲A 10.25-inch touchscreen with phone mirroring and a 10-inch digital cluster
  • ▲Euro 6 compliance, which several rivals at this price do not have

The bad

  • ▼The Comfort goes without autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning and radar cruise control, which the FutureSense gets for PKR 1.5 lacs more
  • ▼The Comfort also does without heated and ventilated front seats and has a manual passenger seat
  • ▼Changan publishes no warranty term anywhere on its own website, and secondary sources disagree - get it in writing
  • ▼The quoted prices are discounted and marked "limited time and limited quota", so they may revert to between PKR 84.74 and 93.99 lacs
  • ▼Prices include freight and CVT, so they look higher against the ex-factory figures most rivals quote - compare carefully
  • ▼A seven-speed dual-clutch is the usual concern in heavy stop-start traffic, though this is a wet-clutch unit, which is the more durable kind
  • ▼19-inch wheels on 55-profile tyres firm up the ride on poor surfaces
  • ▼Resale on Chinese SUVs in Pakistan is still not established over a full ownership cycle

Safety

What is known about this car's safety in Pakistan
Four airbags on every Oshan X7. Changan states "standard 4 airbags across the range" and its table lists them as driver, passenger and side torso airbags.

Standard on all four variants: ABS with brake assist and electronic brakeforce distribution, traction control and electronic stability control, hill hold and hill descent control, advanced tyre-pressure monitoring, front and rear parking sensors with reverse dynamic guidelines, a 360-degree HD Panocam, a data recorder, an immobiliser, ISOFIX child seat anchors, heated side mirrors with blind-spot cameras, and an HMI-enabled vehicle diagnostic system.

That is a strong baseline, and it is worth saying so: several more expensive cars in Pakistan do not offer a 360-degree camera or stability control as standard.

Where the range divides is the FutureSense package, and the division is a safety one:

The FutureSense variants have forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, and dynamic radar cruise control with vehicle distance control that holds a gap of one to four car lengths.

The Comfort has none of those three. Changan's own comparison table marks forward collision warning and auto emergency braking "Not Equipped" on the Comfort and gives it standard cruise control.

PKR 1.5 lacs separates the Comfort from the cheapest FutureSense. Autonomous emergency braking for that money is the best safety value in this part of the market, and it is the step to take.

Pakistan has no NCAP programme and no crash-testing facility, so the locally assembled car carries no independent crash rating.

FAQ

What is the price of the Changan Oshan X7 in Pakistan?

Four variants: Comfort 7-Seat PKR 79,49,000, FutureSense 5-Seat PKR 80,99,000, FutureSense 7-Seat PKR 84,49,000 and FutureSense 7-Seat Black Edition PKR 85,50,000. These are Changan's discounted prices, marked "limited time and limited quota"; the full prices run from PKR 84,74,000 to PKR 93,99,000. All include freight and capital value tax.

What is the Oshan X7 Black Edition?

A FutureSense 7-Seat launched on 2 October 2026 at PKR 85,50,000, with a blacked-out front grille, black Turbine 225/55 R19 alloys, an all-black interior in place of the terracotta faux leather, and Sony-branded speakers. Mechanically it is identical to the standard FutureSense 7-Seat. Changan quotes a booking amount of PKR 18 lacs.

How many seats does the Changan Oshan X7 have?

Seven on the Comfort, the FutureSense 7-Seat and the Black Edition; five on the FutureSense 5-Seat. Note the cheapest variant is a seven-seater - the five-seater is the more expensive FutureSense.

What is the difference between the Oshan X7 Comfort and FutureSense?

Safety, mainly. Changan's own table marks forward collision warning and autonomous emergency braking "Not Equipped" on the Comfort and gives it standard cruise control; the FutureSense variants have both plus dynamic radar cruise control. The FutureSense also adds heated and ventilated front seats and a six-way electric passenger seat where the Comfort's is manual. PKR 1.5 lacs separates them.

How many airbags does the Changan Oshan X7 have?

Four on every variant - driver, passenger and side torso airbags, in Changan's own words "standard 4 airbags across the range".

What is the fuel average of the Changan Oshan X7?

Pakistani owners record about 9.5 km/l in the city and 12.5 on the highway, roughly 10.7 combined. Every variant uses the same 1,499 cc turbo and seven-speed wet DCT, so the figures apply across the range.

What engine does the Changan Oshan X7 have?

A turbocharged 1,499 cc NE15TG four, Euro 6 compliant, making 138 kW - 185 hp - and 300 Nm, through a seven-speed wet dual-clutch to the front wheels.

Is the Oshan X7's dual-clutch gearbox reliable in Pakistani traffic?

It is a wet-clutch DCT, which runs in oil and handles heat far better than the dry-clutch units that gave dual-clutch gearboxes their poor reputation in stop-start conditions. That is the right choice for this market, though any DCT asks more of its servicing than a torque-converter automatic.

What is the warranty on a Changan Oshan X7?

Changan does not publish one. The word "warranty" appears nowhere on changan.com.pk, and secondary sources give both 3 years/100,000 km and 5 years/150,000 km. Ask the dealer for the term in writing before paying.

How big is the boot in the Changan Oshan X7?

1,407 litres of maximum load space, on a 2,786 mm wheelbase.
